Vet and Pia: Most of us wouldn’t take financial advice from a person who was broke; the same logic should apply for relationship dos and don’ts. Together since the age of 13, we are happily married parents of four and we are still in love! As Junior high school sweethearts that dated on and off through High school and married right after college graduation we went through a lot of relationship issues early on. Whenever we were having challenges in our relationship we chose to seek advice from everyday people whose relationships seemed to be working well. While there is no such thing as a perfect relationship, we know many happy couples and there are some basic characteristics that they all have in common. Our next book titled “Love is Never Enough” focuses on the five stages of effective relationships. Love is certainly the foundation of a great relationship, but it is not nearly enough. Strong relationships are hard work and the five stages must be mastered before you can have a long-lasting and fulfilling marriage.
